Born and raised in Vermont, Captain John Bouchard developed a love for sailing on Lake Champlain before pursuing a career in the maritime industry. After graduating from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, John sailed internationally for 10 years, honing his skills aboard large vessels. Holding an Unlimited Master’s USCG license, he is fully qualified to command vessels of all sizes, from small yachts to 1000+ foot cruise ships.

For the past 8 years, John has worked as a Key West Harbor Pilot, navigating ships of all sizes into the Port of Key West. His extensive local knowledge and expertise make him a trusted figure in the region.

When not on the water, John enjoys all that the Florida Keys has to offer, including kiteboarding, diving, fishing, and golfing. As a private charter captain, he loves to share his knowledge of the area with guests, providing unforgettable experiences on the waters of Key West and beyond.
